February 12-16 — Alabama River (Henry Lock and Dam to Pintlala Creek) NOTE: Large item cleanups on February 12-13 conducted by APC and USACE.

Saturday, February 16 – Public cleanup will be held on Swift Creek and will be joint effort by Autauga County PALS, USACE, US Coast Guard, Alabama Power Company, Advanced Disposal Systems, Renew Our Rivers and partners. Volunteers should report to the Strickland’s Landing boat ramp prior to 8:00am. Volunteers should wear proper clothing and footwear for the cleanup. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. Boats will ferry volunteers 15 years and older to cleanup along the east shoreline. Younger volunteers will target the adjacent roadways along the creek.

Directions:
1. Travel to Autaugaville on Hwy 14
2. Turn south on Autauga Street
3. Follow the Autauga County PALS signs to boat ramp.

Volunteers will meet at Higgins Ferry Park at 8:00 a.m. The cleanup will end at noon followed by a picnic lunch.

March 16-23 — Logan Martin Reservoir (Coosa River)

The cleanup will be held at various locations beginning March 16. Volunteers should contact coordinators or the LMLPA website for supplies and further details. The community cleanup will be Saturday, March 23 from 8:00 a.m. and end at noon. A picnic lunch will follow at Lakeside Landing off Highway 31 south of Pell City.

Volunteers will meet at Richey’s Resort located at E.C. Gaston Steam Plant at 7:00 a.m.
The cleanup will end at noon followed by a picnic lunch. The cleanup will target areas near the plant.

April 15-20 — Lay Lake (Coosa River)

The community cleanup will be Saturday, April 20 from 8:00 am and end at noon at Beeswax Public Boat Launch. The event will be followed by a picnic lunch.

May 11 — Weeks Bay

Cleanup sites include the shoreline of Weeks Bay, Magnolia River, Fish River and bridge crossings along tributaries. Registration is at the Weeks Bay Resource Center. Event runs from 8:00 am to noon and includes lunch. Volunteers should contact coordinators for details.

Volunteers should meet at Smith Dam boat launch area at 8:00 am each day. The cleanup will target large blocks of white beaded foam previously utilized as pier flotation. Volunteers should contact coordinator for further details.

August 5-10 — Holt lake (Black Warrior River)

Large item cleanup will be held during the week. Volunteers should contact coordinators for details. The community cleanup will be held Saturday, August 10 at Rocky branch Park off Highway 216 from 8:00 am to noon. A picnic lunch will follow the cleanup.

August 10 — Upper Tallapoosa River

Volunteers should report to Tallapoosa River Outfitters off Highway 46 near Heflin for directionsto cleanup sites.

September 11-14 — Village Creek

The in-water cleanup runs from Wednesday the 11th through Friday the 13th, where volunteers will get debris and other items out of the creek. Each day starts at 8:00 am and breaks for lunch at 11:00 am. The community shoreline cleanup will be Saturday, September 14 from 8:00 am to noon. Contact coordinator for site locations.
