Initial Information Packages
COOSA PROJECT INITIAL INFORMATION PACKAGE (IIP)
One of the first steps in the hydro relicensing process is to provide stakeholders with information about the projects. In the fall and winter of 2000, after an extensive review of available information, Alabama Power Company published and distributed seven Initial Information Packages (IIP). For each project, the IIP contains:
- A comprehensive description of the relicensing process.
- Descriptions of the project area.
- The hydro development and its operation.
- The environmental resources at the project.
