Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Do I have to submit a list of the members of my club to Alabama Power for approval?
Answer: No. Alabama Power licenses the tract to a club, by name, with an officer of that club signing the agreement on behalf of the club membership.

Question: Is the use of dogs for hunting deer allowed?
Answer: No.

Question: What is Alabama Power's position as to the use of ATV's on the licensed property?
Answer: Use of all-terrain vehicles on licensed property is prohibited, except as a means of transportation for the Licensee, provided this does not cause material damage or injury to the property as determined by Alabama Power.

Question: Does Alabama Power require Licensee to acquire a liability insurance policy or is that part of the license fee?
Answer: Alabama Power requires the Licensee to obtain a separate, general liability insurance policy at its own expense.

Question: Are there any restrictions on the use or type of firearms on the property?
Answer: Restrictions, if any, should be indicated on the map of the property and more explicitly spelled out in the license agreement.

Question: Does Alabama Power request access to properties on behalf of the Licensee?
Answer: No. While Alabama Power has access to property it owns as part of its rights as an owner, it cannot assign or transfer those rights to the Licensee. A Licensee has to gain access rights for its own needs from adjacent land owners. If access is not granted then Alabama Power will allow Licensee to terminate the agreement and refund any fees as necessary.
