Pecan Pie Squares

Crust:
  • 2 cups sifted Martha WhiteŽ all purpose flour
  • ˝ teaspoon salt
  • ˝ cup butter or margarine, melted
  • ¼ cup sugar

Combine all ingredients. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until mixture resembles corn meal. Press firmly and evenly into greased 13"X9" pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

Filing:
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped

Combine all filling ingredients. Mix well and pour into baked crust. Bake at 350° for 25-28 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely. Cut into 2-inch squares. Store in refrigerator. Makes 24 squares.
