Shawn's Boiled Cookies

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter
  • 4 T. cocoa
  • 2 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Combine the first four ingredients in a 3-quart saucepan. Bring to a full boil and cook for 3 or 4 minutes. If you are using a candy thermometer, cook until it reaches 220 degrees. Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients, mixing until well blended. Quickly spoon onto wax paper.
