Renewable Energy

Renewable energy has the potential to supply electricity with little to no CO2 emissions and is beginning to make a substantial contribution in certain areas of the country. Though the relative scarcity of renewable resources in the Southeast limits the overall extent of their potential contribution here, Alabama Power continues to research and evaluate the development of those sources that do show promise for producing cost-effective and reliable energy.
