Choosing ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances for your home is a smart decision - they use less energy, save money and help protect the environment.

ENERGY STAR appliances not only use less electricity, they also use much less water. Front loading clothes washers for instance use up to 20 gallons of water LESS than top loading washers per load. All ENERGY STAR qualified appliances have to meet a government standard of efficiency over and above non-qualified products. Look for the ENERGY STAR logo when purchasing your next appliance.

The table below shows typical examples of how much money you can save by updating an old appliance to an ENERGY STAR qualified appliance.

For top performance, premium features, and energy savings, look for energy-efficient clothes washers, refrigerators, dishwashers, room air conditioners and dehumidifiers that have earned the ENERGY STAR.
