DET - Duct & Envelope Tightness Training
This two-day course is designed to introduce the skills necessary to become a Duct and Envelope Tightness (DET) Verifier, certified to perform the diagnostic testing required for new homes by the 2009 IRC/IECC with Alabama amendments.

- Duct tightness testing is required on all new ductwork and R-8 insulation for all ducts in attics as of October 1, 2016.
- Supplemental heat control for heat pumps is required below balance point
