If your electric service was disconnected because of a missed payment, you will need to make a payment for the entire balance due and pay the reconnection fee to automatically generate a request order to restore power. Follow the steps below to get started.
- Make your missed payment by selecting any of our convenient payments options listed here. If you’d like to handle your payment now, you can pay online. You will need to have an online account or know your Alabama Power account number.
NOTE: It is recommended to make a payment online, by phone (1-800-245-2244) or at an authorized payment location to have power restored the same day. Service will be delayed if the payment is mailed or left in an Alabama Power office drop box.
- Please add the reconnection fee to your payment. If you’re paying before 5:00 p.m., the fee is $50. If you’re paying between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm, the fee is $75. Payments made prior to 7:00 pm will be reconnected the same day. NOTE: Payments made after 7:00 pm will be reconnected the following day.
- Once payment has been received in full, the order will automatically be issued to reconnect your service.
