Pecan Squares

If you’re looking for a tasty new treat out these pecan squares! With a crisp crust and sweet pecan topping, this is the perfect snack for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • ½ tsp salt

Filling:

  • 4 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 ½ Karo light syrup
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 3 T butter, melted
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups pecans shelled halves

Instructions:

  1.  Mix all ingredients for crust.
  2. Grease a 13x18 Jelly Roll pan.
  3. Press crust ingredients into pan.
  4. Cover entire pan make as a uniform thickness as possible.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 24 minutes.
  6. Mix ingredients for filling in separate bowl. After crust is baked- add the filling to the top of the crust
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for an additional 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
  9. Use pizza cutter to cut into 2 x 2 squares. Enjoy!
