Alabama woman’s cancer battle made her more mindful of movement

Meet Karen Gunter, an Alabama woman whose love for line dancing at the Legacy YMCA in Bessemer helped her – and others – stay active and healthy. When she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, her commitment to fitness proved vital to her successful recovery. Now, she’s back on the dance floor with an even stronger mission: inspiring her community to keep moving, stay healthy and never give up.
