How to make Crispy Sesame Garlic Salmon Bites
- Make the sauce. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hot sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Marinate the salmon. Place the cubed salmon into a large bowl and pour half of the sauce over it. Gently toss to coat. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes to absorb the flavor.
- Sear the salmon. Preheat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Spread salmon cubes out evenly and cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes to get that irresistible golden-brown crust.
- Flip & finish. Use tongs to flip the salmon cubes and cook another 1-2 minutes until cooked through. Drizzle in the remaining sauce and cook for an additional 1 minute, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly and coat the salmon.
- Serve and enjoy. Transfer to a plate and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped cilantro, if desired. Serve over steamed jasmine rice, cauliflower rice or stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.

For this recipe, I recommend using skinless, center-cut salmon fillets. They’re meaty and easy to cube into even 1-inch chunks.
- Is salmon healthy?
Yes. Salmon is one of the most nutritious proteins you can eat. It’s high in omega-3 fatty acids, which support heart and brain health, and is an excellent source of high-quality protein, vitamin D, selenium and B vitamins.
- Can I make this ahead of time?
Absolutely. You can marinate the salmon up to 24 hours in advance and cook when ready. The sauce can also be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
