“You can be sad and it will make you happy or you can be happy and it will help you rejoice.”
As a pastor, Lawrence Jackson could be talking about worship or the Holy Spirit. But Jackson is speaking as owner of Unbothered Scoops in Bessemer and he’s talking about ice cream.
Jackson wanted to bring good ice cream and family fun to the Bessemer community so that local families wouldn’t have to drive across town for such things.
In addition to more than 25 flavors of ice cream and treats like Unbothered Ice Cream Nachos and banana splits, the shop at 2231 19th St. North is also home to outdoor seating areas with inflatables and games like cornhole, miniature golf and more.
