Video: U.S. Coast Guard in Alabama conducts simulated search and rescue

U.S. Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island crew members recently conducted a simulated search and rescue (SAR) operation off the coast in Alabama. SAR is one of the Coast Guard’s 11 statutory missions, with small boat stations established along U.S. coastlines. Regular training keeps the crew prepared for an actual SAR mission, should the need arise. Watch the video below to see the crew at work.
