Angela Till announces retirement as Alabama deputy secretary of commerce

“Angela’s contributions have been foundational in positioning Alabama as a competitive and forward-thinking state for business growth,” said Ellen McNair, secretary of commerce.

Till’s service began in the Office of Economic Development at the Alabama Department of Revenue, a position she held for 14 years.

With Till’s departure, the Department of Commerce announced the following leadership transitions effective June 1:

  • Erika McKay, currently serving as general counsel, has been appointed deputy secretary. McKay will continue her responsibilities as general counsel while also overseeing the Incentives, Compliance and Legal divisions.
  • Rachel Madore has been promoted to chief officer of business intelligence and incentives. In this new role, Madore will take the lead on managing the state’s incentive program.
