Alabama Power has 3 new online tools that make managing energy cooler, easier

Alabama Power has launched three new online tools aimed at helping customers better understand their energy usage, explore rate options and find personalized assistance.

The tools – Bill Explainer, Rate Advisor and Energy Assistant – are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to provide customers with more clarity, options and control over their electric service.

  • The Bill Explainer breaks down each part of the bill in plain language, helping customers understand how their bill comes together.
  • The Rate Advisor asks a few brief questions and recommends the best rate plan(s) based on how and when energy is used. It’s designed to help customers determine whether they are enrolled in the most cost-effective plan for their household.
  • The Energy Assistant poses some brief questions that, based on customer input, offers programs, offers and resources that may help reduce monthly costs or provide support during financial hardship.
