Shine Bright: Creola Veterans Memorial Park gets Alabama Power support

The City of Creola in Mobile County is a proud community and it’s a community that’s proud of its veterans.

When Mayor Don Nelson, a former Marine, asked City Clerk Marcy Brown to take on creating a Veterans Memorial Park, Brown started raising funds.

Among the places that led her was to Alabama Power and the Alabama Power Foundation – known for their support of veteran organizations and causes. That assistance along with others helped bring the Creola Veterans Memorial Park into existence.

This video is part of the Shine Bright series, demonstrating how Alabama Power doesn’t just power communities but is a part of them.
